Artist Application

Applications are now being accepted for the 2012 LMAF. The deadline is May 1, 2012. Click here to download the Application.

Date:

Saturday, July 21, 2012, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Lake Mills Commons Park, located in the heart of downtown Lake Mills at the corner of Main and Lake Streets.

Accepted Media:

Original fine art and fine craft in the categories of painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber, glass, jewelry and pottery.

Eligibility:

Open to all artists who are Wisconsin residents 18 years and older, exhibiting works of original concept, design and execution. ARTISTS MUST APPEAR IN-PERSON.

Demonstrations:

Consider demonstrating your trade at your booth—it brings patrons in close touch with the creation of art!

Selection of Artists:

All exhibitors will be selected by a jury of visual arts professionals.*

Work Samples :

Three photos (digital format), of artwork that accurately reflect the artwork to be presented (as it will be seen during the festival), as well as one of your booth set-up/display (showing tent), are required with your registration. Please mail with your other application materials or e-mail to crsndwn@charter.net.

Booth:

10 x 10 is the smallest acceptable booth size, 10 x 15 the largest – to be supplied by exhibitor. A white Easy-Up or similar shelter* is required for each booth space. Electricity is not supplied. Please contact the Artist Coordinator by email: crsndwn@charter.net or phone (262) 565-3944 if you have questions. *Please list tent size in application.

Fees:

The Jury Fee is $15 and non-refundable. The Exhibition (Booth) Fee is $70.00. Please write two separate checks
(one for the Jury Fee and one for the Exhibitor Fee), made payable to: Lake Mills Main Street Program and mail, along with a SASE to: Lake Mills Arts Festival, Artist Coordinator, 200 N. Lake Street, Lake Mills, WI 53551.

Festival Services and Amenities:

  • "Festival Ambassadors" available for set-up and take-down assistance and booth-sitting
  • Saturday morning Breakfast Reception and coffee all day
  • Increased summer population (by 1,000 people)!
  • Food vendors (variety provided)
  • LIVE music all day
  • Children's Art Yard

Deadlines:

Applications are accepted through May 1 for the 2012 Lake Mills Arts Festival. Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 31, 2012. Un-cashed checks will be returned with computer disks or photographs in the event artists are not accepted.
